Rule Of Thirds

By Morgan McSheffrey

This photo is of a broken tree, which I thought was a very interesting shape. The tree is situated on the left hand side on the image. There are a few trucks at the back right hand corner of this photo. It is really nice having the tree along the side of the photo because when you look at it, your eye will travel around.
This photo is of my sister reading a book on my grandma’s couch. My sister is situated on the left side of the photo, and is the center of focus for the photo. I really like how there aren’t very many distractions in this picture, and that it is clear what the main focus is.
This photo is of a statue inside St. Paul’s High School. The blue background behind the statue gives a burst of colour in the background. The statue is positioned on the left side of the photo. The background doesn’t distract from the main focus, it adds more character to the statue and gets the viewer more interested. Next time, I will take the photo so the statue is not so far over for a different feel.
