Motion: Frozen and Blurred

MOTION BLURRED

MOTION FROZEN

The two pictures here exhibit one of the most important concepts in photography: shutter speed and aperture size, otherwise known as the f-stop. The photo on the left was taken with an small aperture and slower shutter speed. This gives the image a blurred effect. The photo on the right was taken with a large aperture and a very fast shutter speed. The faster and larger the two of them are, respectively, the more frozen the image will be. This also applies in the opposite for the image on the left.
